Hi, I’m Sandra — founder of La Candle Bar & Co., a Toronto-based candle brand specializing in mobile luxury candle making workshops, private events, private label candles and handcrafted candles.
What started as a personal passion has grown into a unique, high-end candle experience serving clients across Toronto and the GTA.
Rooted in Culture, Creativity & Purpose
La Candle Bar & Co. was inspired by my Latin American heritage — a culture rich in warmth, scent, and tradition.
Growing up, I was surrounded by beautiful, nostalgic aromas that told stories — but I noticed those scents were missing from the candle world. Everything felt repetitive, generic, and uninspired.
So I set out to create something different.

From Educator, Mom & Creative to Experience Creator
Before building this business, I worked as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) for over 10 years — and teaching has always been a big part of who I am.
I’m also a mom of two, a proud dog and cat mom, and have been with my husband for over 10 years. Creating a warm, safe, and inspiring environment has always been at the center of my life — both at home and in my work.
That naturally carries into everything I do at La Candle Bar & Co.

Whether it’s a date night, birthday, bachelorette party, or corporate event, I love creating experiences where people feel inspired, relaxed, and excited to try something new.
Why I Started La Candle Bar & Co.
As a mom and pet owner, I became more intentional about the products I brought into my home.
During the pandemic, I realized many candles contained ingredients that didn’t align with the clean, safe environment I wanted for my family.
So I spent over a year researching, testing, and perfecting a candle that felt different — cleaner, safer, and still luxurious.
That’s how La Candle Bar & Co. was born.
